Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and highly motivated Community Engagement Specialist to join our team. This role, available through our humana jobs online platform, focuses on driving and facilitating engagement across various community initiatives. The ideal candidate will be adept at fostering connections, understanding community needs, and facilitating open communication between city officials and residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies that promote civic participation.

- Facilitate discussions and forums to capture community feedback regarding city projects and services.
- Collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and resident groups to enhance outreach efforts.

- Analyze community feedback and participation metrics to assess the effectiveness of engagement strategies.
- Support the planning and execution of public meetings, hearings, and advisory boards.
- Prepare reports and presentations for various stakeholders, including city leadership and community members.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience in community engagement, public relations, or a similar role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in digital engagement tools and platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Passion for community service and a strong understanding of the diverse Albuquerque community.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills.
