Victor Apugo Appointed Chairman of Abia State Minifootball Association
Victor Apugo, a renowned football administrator and proprietor of Superstars Academy Nigeria, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Technical Committee, of Abia State Minifootball Association. This development was confirmed through a letter signed by David A. Adewoye, Secretary of the Nigeria National Minifootball Association.
The association expressed confidence in Apugo’s ability to enhance the growth of mini football in Abia State and across Nigeria. As a member of the NFF Youth Development Committee, Apugo brings extensive experience to his new role. The association’s broader goal is to popularize mini football nationwide, making it competitive on the international stage.
Nigeria’s participation in the 2025 Africa Minifootball Nations Cup, scheduled for April 16–25 in Libya, is a testament to this commitment. The tournament will feature 16 teams, with the finals hosted at Derna Jewel International Stadium. South Africa are the reigning champions, having won the 2024 edition.
