Position Overview
As a CDL Driver at Mainstreet, you will be the backbone of our operations, ensuring that goods are transported safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Transport goods to designated locations with precision and care.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance.
- Complete and maintain accurate logs and documentation for each route.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle to promote safety and comfort during transport.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding driver conduct and vehicle operation.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training and continuing education programs.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial driving preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to navigate using GPS and other route-planning technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain a strong focus on safety.
- Must be able to pass a DOT medical examination and drug screening.
